Jodie van de Wetering is a writer, performer, and community arts worker based in Rockhampton.  She runs Allsorts Open Mic, a regular open-access variety show providing stage time and development opportunities for performers of all kinds and all levels of experience.  She’s the editor of Rocky Street Press, an online arts magazine covering the Central Queensland area.

Jodie trained as a journalist and worked for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation as a reporter and broadcaster for 13 years.  Since leaving the ABC she has been developing her skills as a performer, and creating opportunities for other new and emerging artists.  Her own work concentrates on stand up and improv comedy, short stories and poetry.
